Coming off a serious offseason leg injury, “Earthquake” Jake still didn’t miss a beat in the 2014/15 Lancers' season. He anchored the toughest and stingiest defense the Lancers have had to date. He had 14 blocks on the year and earned the team’s Defender of the Year Award.
Schindler has been with the team since its first season. Playing in 20 games his rookie season, Schindler recorded three goals and three assists while blocking 19 shots. The following year he would play in 26 games and lead the in blocked shots recording 33 total as well as two assists. In the 2013-14 season he would again prove to be an anchor on defense playing in 20 games and leading the team again in blocked shots with 24 as well as recording three goals and six assists.
Schindler played outdoor soccer in the NPSL for both Queen FC and FC Buffalo.
Schindler attended Roberts Wesleyan College and was names a 1st team All-AMC selection, NCCAA East Region Co-Player of the year and was named to the All-American team at the NCCAA National Tournament.
