The Rochester Lady Lancers are proud to announce the addition of four names to their 2016 Outdoor Season Roster.
(Rochester, NY) - The Lady Lancers are proud to announce 4 player signings: Jai Jackson (Midfield), Happy Orere-Amadu (Midfield), Taylor Wingerden (Forward/Midfield), and Dylan Patterson (Defense).
“Throughout the country, great local players play in other cities,” Said Salvatore SoccerSam Fantauzzo. “Our goal for the Rochester Lancers is to highlight local talent and help the development of local soccer in our great city.”
Associate Head Coach Sal Galvano stated, “We are very excited to announce the signing of these 4 players; they display the level of professionalism and quality that we are looking for.” Both Jai Jackson and Dylan Patterson played for Winthrop University, and Happy Orere-Amadu and Taylor Wingerden played for the University of Texas at San Antonio.
GM and Head Coach Loren Inglese & Associate Head Coach Sal Galvano are holding a second combine tonight, May 2, for all players interested in trying out for the team. The first combine was held in the PAC Center on the MCC Campus in Brighton and attracted over 20 players from the Rochester, NY area. “It was great to see local talent on display,” said Loren Inglese. “Talking with the players, there was a lot of excitement about bringing women’s soccer back to Rochester” added Inglese.
